The Inside Window

It still amazes me to this day that despite all of the terrible things that happen to good people, we just put up with it.

I’m referring to the fact that there’s people working every minute of their waking life to make someone else some money.

This is the way huge companies are structured in our capitalist world, the little person does all the work, and the guy on top reaps the benefits.

People put up with it, because its the only way. You’re stuck at the lower levels, just trying to pay your mortgage, and hoping one day, you’ll make it a little higher on the ladder.

Will this happen with hard work? Probably not.

The man at the top will always protect himself and his own, and if he can find a way to exploit someone down the line, he will, because it makes his and his more money.

This needs to change.

Millions of people lost their jobs due to the downturn of the economy, while the rich stayed rich.

It seems the economy did nothing but hurt the little guy even more.

The companies fell, yet the pieces at the top remained. How is that fair?

The top should fall hardest, if a company fails, its the leader’s fault, and they should be held accountable.

Pressure should be placed on corporate leaders, that if their company fails, it will be them paying the price, not their underlings.

People need to speak up if something doesn’t seem right. As I wrote yesterday, companies make huge mistakes, often. SPEAK UP!

Let these leaders know that their making a bad choice, and it will hurt the company.

But don’t just speak up about that, speak up about everything, and if you know other people have a problem with something, get their help with it.

Only then will we stop being slaves to the executives:

To make our voice heard.

Its come to my attention recently that many people share the same thoughts on money as myself: it drives the world, its on people’s minds constantly, but it isn’t the be-all end-all of life.

There was a time when there was no such thing as money, before money was invented, but that’s a concept some people miss: money was invented. Maybe its time more people treat it as such: an invention.

Its great for simplifying the trade process: everything has a relative worth, and in this sense its useful.

However, due to its extreme power, it has an extremely ugly side as well.

I won’t into depth, because I’m sure everyone knows the evil of money, or to be more specific, greed over money.

What I’m trying to get at is: almost everybody puts the mighty dollar on a pedestal. Perhaps its bending over backwards to get it, or dedicating their lives to something they hate, in order to make it, but too many place the worth of money over the worth of their own happiness. And too many people believe that once they get money, they’ll be happy.

I attribute this to the fact that most people actually believe their monetary worth is directly reflective of their person. And its true: people perceive this, but what about a person’s ability to carry conversation, entertain, make people smile, raise children properly?

Should these not be directly related to a person’s worth, rather then the size of their wallet?

With the economy on everyone’s mind, many things such as these get thrown to the wayside. We lose track of what really matters, or what really should matter.

No matter how much money you have, its likely the stress will not fade, its all relative, with more money comes different responsibilities, and through those, stress.

The Jones’ will always be there, and you can always be envious, or you can increase your worth in other matters of your life, because that will be worth something to someone, even if it doesn’t cost anything.
